It is the purpose of The Plainview Jewish Center Men's Club to foster the highest ideals of Judaism, to aid and support the Plainview Jewish Center in the furtherance of all its religious, cultural, educational, social and fundraising activities; and further promote through mutual and social association the spirit of comradeship within the community.
The Men's Club Provides:
Financial and program support to Congregation and fosters camaraderie among members.
Ushering during all High Holiday Services.
Support for the Religious School by providing annual High School Scholarships.
Assistance at Hebrew School programs such as the annual pancake breakfast.
Programs for the Congregation, including the annual Chanukah and Purim parties
Assembly of the Temples Sukkah every year during Sukkot.
Sponsorship of weekly Tallis and Tefillah Breakfasts every Sunday.
Mailing distribution of yellow memorial candles to all congregation families to commemorate Yom Hashoah.
Annual musical theater performance highlighting the talents of many congregants and fundraising for the Temple.
Fundraising for community charities and has been a main stay of Hatzilu, providing assistance to Jewish Families in need.
